Doris Dorothy & Ted Bate

Doris , Dorothy & Ted Bate (Triplets)
Originally this photograph had " Best Wishes from Bea." written on the reverse then my Grandmother had later added Doris , Dorothy & Ted Bate with the word "Triplets" in brackets. That proved to be all I needed to find them on the 1901 census all just 5 months old then . No such luck with the 1911 census but I did find Dorothy marrying William Houghton in March Quarter of 1924 .

Totally unidentified

Here's one of  quite a few photographs that no one thought to write any information on the back and so unless somebody has similar pictures of these people I will never know who or where they were . I guess with all the technology out there some things will always remain a mystery.

Effie Syd & Edgar

" Effie , Syd & Edgar" is all the information that I have about this following photograph.

The family of William Henry Broughton in Sheffield

Mrs W.H.Broughton,Margaret & Geoff

Rather an odd one this photograph as I cannot see any links with my ancestors . The caption underneath the photograph was all the information that was written on the reverse . Sheffield is on the front of the photograph and from the combined information I was able to discover that this is the family of William Henry Broughton who was born about 1875 in Asterby, Lincolnshire but was living at 166 Oakbrook Road, Sheffield on the 1911 Census . His occupation described as 'Grocer,Wine & Spirit Dealer'.
So to the people in the actual photograph now . We have William's wife Mary Ellen (nee Spry ) who was born about 1884 . We also have William and Mary's children Margaret Spry Broughton (born 1909 who went on to marry Francis J Pringle in 1930.) and Geoffrey Cornish Broughton who was born 25th September 1914 ( and died in April 1987). Judging by the children's ages it would seem this photograph was took in the early 1920's.

John Cross From Earnslow Grange Sandiway 1915

Photograph taken Whit Monday (24th May) 1915

From just ther brief above information I was able to locate John Cross on both the 1901 and 1911 census . Earnslow Grange being the Cross family's farm in Sandiway . John was baptised 17th September 1893 in Whitegate, Cheshire and died 8th May 1964 at Sandiway Bank Farm, Northwich , Cheshire. I have no knowledge of why my Grandmother cut this picture . I have discovered John Cross in 2 trees on Ancestry.com and have notified the tree owners that I have uploaded the above photograph here.
